Company vs installer certification
Scheme membership at company level (FIRAS, BAFE) is necessary but not sufficient. Individual installers must hold a current card for the work they're doing.
Tested system references
Each seal must reference a named tested system (ETA, BS test report) appropriate to substrate, service and fire rating.
Per-seal evidence
Photographs, locations, system references and signed inspection records — searchable and tied to the asset register.
Red flags
Generic 'certificate of compliance' letters, no individual installer record, no tested system reference, no per-seal record.
