Active systems detect or fight fire. Passive systems contain it. Both are required by current regulation; both are evidenced separately.

Procuring PFP properly
Look for third-party scheme certification (FIRAS, BAFE SP203-4), individual installer cards, named tested systems, and per-defect evidence — not just installer day rates.
